[Interview_3] Sue Moorcroft

Romance author and creative writing tutor, Sue Moorcroft's novels include Starting Over (Choc Lit, 2009), Family Matters (Robert Hale, 2008) and Uphill All the Way (Transita, 2005). She is also the author of a non-fiction book, Love Writing: How to Make Money Writing Romantic or Erotic Fiction (Accent Press Ltd, 2010). In an earlier interview , creative writing tutor and author, Sue Moorcroft spoke about her main concerns as a writer. She now talks about her latest non-fiction book: How would you describe Love Writing: How to Make Money Writing Romantic or Erotic Fiction ? The title says it all, really. We chose a title like that so that it would show up well in searches on-line. Readers of ‘how to’ books tend to search using phrases that describe the content of the book. The book brings together many of the areas I work in: fiction writer non-fiction writer ‘how to’ writer creative writing tutor committee member of the Romantic Novelists’ Association I’d also written courses for the London School of Journalism , so had some experience of assessing what would be useful to the reader and arranging it coherently. Creative writing tutor and author, Sue Moorcroft was born in Germany and spent much of her childhood in Cyprus and Malta. In addition to teaching creative writing classes, she has written and published five novels, among them, Uphill All the Way (Transita, 2005); A Place To Call Home (Magna, 2007) and Family Matters (Robert Hale, 2008). Her short stories have been published in anthologies that include Sexy Shorts for Christmas (Accent Press Ltd, 2003) and Scary Shorts for Hallowe'en (Accent Press Ltd, 2004) . She is also the editor of Loves Me, Loves Me Not , an anthology of short stories by the members of the Romantic Novelists' Association , which seeks to celebrate the RNA's 50th birthday in 2010.
